What Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) contributes to Cardinal Health

Practice Operations Management oversees the business and administrative operations of a medical practice.
Revenue Cycle Management manages a team focused on a series of clinical and administrative processes that healthcare providers utilize to capture, bill, and collect patient service revenue. The revenue cycle shadows the entire patient care journey and begins with patient appointment scheduling and ends when the patient’s account balance is zero.

Data Management:

Data Integrity: Maintain the integrity and accuracy of fee schedule data within the PMS.Reporting: Generate reports related to fee schedule data as needed.
 

Fee Schedule Maintenance:

Regular Updates: Maintain and update fee schedules in the PMS, including CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and other relevant codes.Accurate Data Entry: Ensure accurate data entry of fee amounts, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the system.Compliance: Stay current with changes in insurance company fee schedules, billing guidelines, and regulatory requirements.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies in fee schedules.
 

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, and other relevant coding systems.Familiarity with insurance company fee schedules and billing guidelines.Experience with practice management systems and their fee schedule modules.Insurance Carrier knowledge - Medicare, Medicaid/MediCal, Commercial, Capitated, Case rates, other

 Qualifications

1-3 years of experience, preferredHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferredExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in data entry and computer applications.Intermediate experience in Excel Experience in a medical billing or practice management environment preferredExperience with fee schedule maintenance or related tasks preferred.

Anticipated hourly range: $16.80 - 31.30 USD Hourly
