In this dynamic role, you will coordinate and manage the daily operations of the Fort Worth Achievement Center’s tutoring and supplemental instruction programs—both online and on-campus. Your responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and overseeing tutoring services while ensuring compliance with College Reading and Learning Association ( CRLA) standards and best practices. Your collaborative efforts with TLC staff and University College will help create a seamless and supportive learning environment. The Tutoring Services Coordinator, under general supervision, coordinates and supports the tutoring and study services within the Achievement Center on the Fort Worth Campus (FWAC). Position is in office with work hours of Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate. Some evening and Saturday hours may be required as needed. Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA).
Must have the ability to work remotely at the request of the university in times of inclement weather or other special circumstances.
Responsibilities40% Coordinates tutoring and related services. Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations of the Fort Worth Achievement Center (online and on-campus) including but not limited to, explaining/assisting clients with tutor and study contracts, scheduling tutoring appointments and cancellations. Manages Fort Worth SI program scheduling and room reservations, assisting with any materials needed for SI sessions, explaining/assisting students with access to the SI program, and answering general inquires through phone and email correspondence related to tutoring services. Maintains all best practices and materials in compliance with the CRLA tutoring training program certification and best practices in supplemental instruction. Utilizes the student success technology (EAB). Provides strong customer/client service.
25% Provides support in all areas related to tutoring services (tutoring and supplemental instruction) working closely with all TLC staff, mentor teams, and departmental leadership in assessing and managing tutoring and supplemental instruction (includes recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, observing, and evaluating tutors and SI leaders). Supports the Assistant Director working collaboratively with all TLC & FWAC staff, as well as additional student success program staff within University College and on the Fort Worth campus. Represents leadership at meetings/functions as needed. Organizes and maintains reporting systems and prepares routine academic support program reports as needed.
20% Supervises, evaluates, and supports student workers. As needed, maintains tutoring hours in a discipline of need within the FWAC.
10% Communicates with all office staff and student workers (includes updates, notices, and changes to and from the Director and Assistant Director). Collaborates and communicates pertinent information related to tutoring services, including SI, each semester with faculty and staff.
5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Center for Academic Success Assistant Director.
Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in an applicable field or the equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Two years of related experience in tutoring and/or student support services.
Required Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications. Knowledge of basic accounting.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle conflict productively.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Ability to work independently once given a project.

Commensurate with experience
Salary Range
The target base annual salary range is $47,000 to $61,940.50 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
