Position Summary

This role will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the Maturing department to ensure maximum effectiveness in resource utilization, logistical efficiency, product quality, operating costs, production schedule attainment and customer service.  The Warehouse Operations Coordinator will support managing the accuracy of barreled inventories to ensure reliable and up to date records for the company and excise obligations as well as specialize in maintaining the barrel tagging process management to uphold the integrity of barrel inventory identification.

This position is responsible for monitoring barrel processing and movement between the Pike Creek facility and the Walkerville Drain and Fill processing facility while supporting associated departments in determined functions, including Cased Goods Distribution Center operations and Drain and Fill operations when needed. This position is committed to achieving the quality, health and safety, and environmental objectives of the company.

Key Responsibilities

OHSA - Ensure compliance of Occupational Health & Safety Act (section 25, 26, 27, and 28) per Hiram Walker & Son’s Ltd Policy- Management-Supervision-Worker Safety Responsibilities.ISO Compliance/Daily Operations/Health & Safety/Manpower Alignment.Customer Service – ensure superior customer service.Administrative work (includes barrel tag label printing, inter-office document control).Barrel inventory control (inventory cycle counting, verifications).Case goods inventory control (inventory cycle counting/ verifications).Maturation: Logistics GPS monitoring and dispatching.Maturation: production scheduling/planning (flow outbound mature product/incoming new product warehousing) with emphasis on JIT support.Maturation: outbound drain schedule planning of outbound trucks with close monitoring for efficient flow patterns/ ensuring no downtime to Drain and Fill.Maturation: production monitoring for live barrel location status and ensure proper integrity and accuracy of barrel production transactions.Pike Creek site: support identification, communication, and action resolution of any safety and maintenance items/issues requiring attention.Distribution Centre: gain operational understanding to provide support where necessary.Drain and Fill: gain operational understanding to provide support when necessary.Employee engagement where necessary.Understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreement
