The College of Global Futures seeks a highly motivated, dynamic individual to join our team as Undergraduate Student Engagement Coordinator. The Undergraduate Student Engagement Coordinator directly supports retention to the college’s programs by overseeing coordination and administration of the college’s undergraduate research programs, planning and assisting with student engagement event coordination across the college and coordinating undergraduate student communications. Currently, there are two research programs, offered through the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and the School of Sustainability; however, the number of programs is expected to grow to three or four over the next several years. Additionally, this individual will assist with undergraduate communications coordination in cooperation with other staff members affiliated with the College of Global Futures, and assist with undergraduate engagement event coordination. The Undergraduate Student Engagement Coordinator reports to the Director of Undergraduate Academic Services and works closely with the larger CGF Student Services team and faculty in the schools within the College of Global Futures. The college’s home campus is the Tempe campus, but programs are available at the Tempe and Online campuses.

Works closely with faculty from the schools within the College of Global Futures to coordinate aspects of highly impactful undergraduate research programs. Including, but not limited to, calls for and compilation of faculty research projects, management of student application processes, assisting with course registration and scholarship/stipend selection and disbursement, and coordination of multiple end-of-semester program exhibition events.Develops and coordinates undergraduate newsletters for online and campus immersion students.Assists with other undergraduate outreach and event advertising efforts.Leads development and coordination of in-person and remote engagement opportunities, helping to coordinate programs, logistics and scheduling, including within the College of Global Futures residential community.Helps support student success (student concerns, success stories, etc.).Participates with advising and student services staff in programming for various stages of an undergraduate student’s college experience from orientation through graduation (e.g. Fall Welcome, Camp Global Futures, Academic Advising Workshops, Convocation).Assists with purchases and expense paperwork for activities and events.Represents the college and serves on various department and university committees, as appropriate.Provides assistance and information to faculty, staff and outside organizations regarding functions/programs. Attends seminars, workshops and conferences. Must have the availability to work some evenings and weekends and travel to other campuses as needed.Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Project management skills and experience.Evidence of effective communication skills.Experience in coordinating and prioritizing work and activities in a changing environment. Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Experience working on a higher education campus.Demonstrated knowledge of issues pertaining to the area of assignment. Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and accounting principles. Experience using PeopleSoft, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Aventri, and My ASU.Experience using various other types of systems and software (e.g., scheduling, student, communication, document management, Google tools, and Microsoft Office).An interest, degree, or experience with topics related to the mission of the College of Global Futures, including sustainability, innovation, planetary health, decision science, marine science and policy, global development, or other related areas within the college.Evidence of a Master’s degree preferred.Climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being in a stationary position.   Constantly detects and operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.    Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties.   Expected to be responsive to customers, engaged in work production, resourceful, flexible, and respectful of others.  For the ninth year in a row, ASU has been named the most innovative school in the nation, recognizing the university's culture of groundbreaking research and partnerships, as well as its commitment to helping students thrive in college and beyond.
