Job Overview:

To facilitate scheduling, reception and registration process for patients in the Radiation Oncology Department. Candidate will coordinate and maintain an efficient office operation.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School diploma 2 years of experience in a medical office or hospital setting

Day ShiftFull-Time

Essential Functions:

Obtains required medical information and schedules consultation and follow up appointmentsAscertains the need for pre certifications/pre authorization and referrals for treatment and follows up appropriatelyReceives the patients and verifies insurance and referral informationRegisters the patient into the PATKOM AND ARIA applicationsObtains all relevant information from patient and all records from referring physician and uploads documents in the EMRRequests and receives medical reports of prior studies and files/logs them accordinglyMakes arrangements for patient pick up of medical records and follows departmental procedure regarding their release abiding by HIPPA lawsFaxes reports to other physicians and /or facilities as requestedResponsible for checking in patients into ARIA and validating parkingRespond to all incoming calls and triage as necessary.
