Job Overview:

The Clinical Coordinator coordinates the clinical skills and involvement of the staff to meet the requirements of core measures and medication management standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

Completion of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college/school of pharmacy; current New Jersey licensure requiredResidency completion and/or board certification in a relevant specialty are requiredAt least 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience and 2 years of supervisory experienceFamiliarly with all phases of hospital pharmacyWorking knowledge of public health mattersFamiliarly with Federal and State laws regulating professional and hospital practice of pharmacyUnderstands the role of the hospital pharmacy department within the hospital and its interrelationships with other departments and functions

Preferred:

Advanced degree is highly desirable

Essential Functions:

Coordinate the clinical skills and involvement of the staff to meet the requirements of core measures and medication management standardsWork alongside the Director and Assistant Director to ensure patient care is provided safely and in a quality manner for all patient age groupsAssists with developing and contributes to the pharmacy department's quality assurance and improvement measuresThe Clinical Coordinator will raise the clinical services in all specialties, coordinate clinical pharmacy activities, meet collaboratively with the physicians and nursing staff, and make and execute a pharmacy staff development plan and educational competenciesEnsure that the pharmacy is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulationsPerform other duties as requested by the department
