Summary of Primary Function/General Purpose of Position

The Coordinator Compliance/Billing coordinates the regional laboratory regulatory and billing compliance programs. The coordinator maintains all required records of billing and compliance audits.

Essential Job Functions

Maintains all required records of billing and compliance audits; documents findings and submits reports to the Regional Director.Maintains regional laboratory compliance and billing manuals/documents; updates documents annually under the direction of the Regional Director.Maintains processes surrounding all regional laboratory miscellaneous charging, late charges, and charge description master (CDM) maintenance.Oversees action plans for correcting any non-compliant process or procedure; collects and analyzes data in a timely manner; prepares reports as requested by the Regional Director.Assists Regional Director with the implementation of the regional laboratory compliance plan.

Education:

Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Microbiology or Chemistry requiredBachelor’s Degree in Science preferred, not required 

Certifications:

Medical Lab Technician (MLT) ASCP Certification required

Experience:

Five years of Laboratory Tech experience required
