Job Summary/Basic FunctionProvides support in the management of a multi-million dollar library subscription budget. Manages the acquisition, payment, and record maintenance of library subscriptions in various formats using internal and external systems. Creates complex multi-line requisitions in the university procurement system. Works closely with the library’s subscription agent and library consortia to maintain orders, subscriptions and renewals. Assigns proper fund and account codes and works with the department accountant to resolve problems and assists with budget projections. Communicates effectively with university procurement and A/P offices. Obtains price quotes and sets up trial access. Verifies accuracy of title, subscription and invoice data and troubleshoots problems. Establishes, maintains and troubleshoots access to online resources. Assists in configuring and branding newly acquired online resources by accessing and modifying web interfaces. Assists the Continuing Resources Librarian in the collection of usage statistics and management of federal government documents. Trains student assistants as needed. Participates in special projects.
Required EducationBachelor's degree.
Required Related ExperienceOne (1) year of procurement or acquisitions related experience.
Desirable Related ExperienceSubscription maintenance experience. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and URL syntax. Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
