Two years of experience in higher education or related fields, with demonstrated knowledge of coding, computer logic, or technical systems required. Experience with Degree Works or similar software systems is highly preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered Nature & Purpose of Position Provides daily support in operational and technical capacities for Degree Works. Primary Responsibilities Oversees all scribing tasks within Degree Works for majors, minors, and certificates, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Maintains and enhances all manuals related to Degree Works, including scribing rules, scribing basics, and associated Banner tables. Provides comprehensive support, communication, consultation, training, and outreach to campus partners (e.g., academic departments, advising, Registrar) on Degree Works-related matters. Manages user access for Degree Works by processing requests, assigning roles, and maintaining up-to-date records of active and deactivated users. Serves as a student success ambassador by promoting campus-wide student success initiatives through end-user training, website development, recordkeeping, technical support, and system troubleshooting. Assists in the implementation, communication, coordination, and evaluation of upgrades or changes to Degree Works, Smart Plan, and Banner systems. Coordinates and communicates campus activities required for platform updates to Degree Works. Addresses routine questions and resolves issues when possible, escalating high-level or complex concerns to the Director and/or the vendor as needed. Shares vendor updates and platform changes with relevant campus stakeholders promptly. Collaborates closely with campus partners (e.g., advising, Registrar, Academic Affairs) to maintain and verify the accuracy of degree plans. Facilitates effective communication and collaboration with all campus stakeholders using a variety of methods. Coordinates semester and annual communication plans for departments within the Division of Strategic Enrollment and Innovation and other campus partners as needed. Performs additional duties as required to support the Department of Enrollment Technologies, ensuring student access and success. Other Specifications Effective speaking and written communication skills. Works occasional periods outside regular working hours to support students, platform functions, and the university.
