Job Title: Shipping Coordinator  

Location: Chester, VA      

  

What we are looking for: 

The primary responsibility of this position is to coordinate the loading and unloading of finished cases onto trailers for customer delivery or movement between Hillphoenix facilities as needed.  

  

What you will be responsible for in this role: 

Coordinates with third party vendors and internal vendors the shipment of finished goods to customer sites. 

Handles all shipping paperwork to ensure all shipments are delivered to their destination within set parameters.  

Enters all shipment/freight information in the computer for tracking purposes. 

Completes required international paperwork for shipment. 

Works with the internal team when customer issues and/or returned product is sent back due to damages, etc. 

Directs loading team to load and unload based on shipping schedule and shipment demands 

Has working knowledge of inventory to determine where material is and make necessary communication to the appropriate teams.  

Communicates with over the road drivers 

Willing to help the team in other areas 

Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs; MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. 

Working knowledge of company ERP systems, such as AS400 or SAP 

Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

What are the basic qualifications? 

High School Diploma/GED 

2+ years of relevant work experience 

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/Teams 

Ability to lift 50 pounds plus bending, twisting or lifting from awkward positions or in tight spaces, must be able to push and pull cases in excess of 200lbs to 800lbs repetitiously. 

  

To be a great fit for the role: 

A willingness to go above and beyond for the customer to ensure a premium experience. 

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 

Sound understanding of commercial enterprise, freight transportation, and bill of ladings. 

Experience with AS400. 

Previous experience working with freight carriers. 

Experience communicating with cross functions and vendors. 

Familiar with basic accounting
