Coordinator Managed Care | Managed Care Contracting | Day | Full-Time
Overview Under the direction of the Director of Managed Care Contracting and Operations, the Managed Care Coordinator supports the execution of key functions that are essential to the success of UF Health Managed Care. This role provides contract management support, drives project coordination, and contributes to core departmental initiatives such as provider enrollment, internal communications, and process improvement. Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking contract deliverables such as renewals and amendments, maintaining documentation, supporting the development and monitoring of project plans, and coordinating timelines and follow-ups to keep initiatives moving forward. The Coordinator also plays a key role in communication efforts preparing meeting agendas and summaries, developing internal updates and newsletters, and assisting with the maintenance of managed care content on internal platforms. In addition, the role may support special projects and cross-functional initiatives that promote alignment and operational efficiency across the department. A successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while contributing to a team-oriented, mission-driven environment. Experience in healthcare administration, managed care, project coordination, or provider enrollment is preferred. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:: A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience in payor contracting, project management, or managed care operations is preferred. Minimum Experience Required: 2 years of relevant experience is required. This may include work in a healthcare setting such as a hospital, provider practice, insurance company, or healthcare-related organization or comparable experience demonstrating transferable skills in project coordination, operational support, or similar functions. Preferred Experience: 4 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations, provider contracting, credentialing, or managed care coordination is preferred. Candidates with experience managing timelines, supporting cross-functional initiatives, preparing documentation and reports, and communicating with internal leadership and teams will be strongly considered. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation (Required):: Employees in this position: Will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
