The Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the management of the Equipment operations for assigned sports and administrative areas.
The Coordinator is responsible for game/event management for all athletic programs and serves as point of contact for visiting teams, officials, and security for assigned competitions and events.
All duties must be completed in compliance with University, Conference and NCAA rules and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the ordering, receiving, inventory, distribution/collection, and maintenance of equipment for assigned sports. As well as the development and maintenance of inventory control systems, including the evaluation, ordering and receiving of equipment. Manage relationships with current Athletics Department vendors. Negotiate bids with vendors to purchase the necessary equipment for all assigned varsity programs. Participate in budget process including, but not limited to tacking/settling all expenses. Maintain accurate inventory of team equipment and initiate requests for replenishment of team items. In addition, maintain records of equipment distributed to student-athletes for assigned sports. Coordinate with coaches to identify the equipment needs for assigned sports. Assist the Director of Equipment Operations in hiring, supervising, training, and scheduling of student staff. Assist in the coordination of laundry services for all Athletic programs following practices, games, and training sessions for assigned sports. Primary contact and responsible for game day management for Men’s and Women’s Soccer home events. Supervise and train event staff and work closely with departmental and other University constituents to prepare assigned home venues for competition. Act as the on-site Event Manager at designated home contests. Responsible for facility and building management/scheduling of Higgins Soccer Complex, Farley Hall soccer wing, and West Campus Tennis Courts. Assist with event management for Men’s Basketball, Commencement, Big East Championships, and other larger events held in Athletics facilities. Assist with specific areas of Athletics capital projects. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Formal Education Bachelor’s Degree required
Specific Job Knowledge Experience in an athletics department equipment room, preferably at the Division I level. Experience in managing daily facility operations and events. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Experience implementing and managing inventory control systems, purchasing, fitting and repairing equipment. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to uniforms and equipment
Minimum Work Experience Two years experience working in Equipment operations and/or facilities operations in a collegiate setting, preferably at a D1 institution.Work SkillsMust possess excellent organizational and communication skills and an ability to pay attention to details.Equipment KnowledgeProficiency with personal computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in sport administration or related field preferred. Experience working in a Division I Athletics Equipment room, a plus. Budget planning and management experience, a plus.
