COORDINATOR OF PUPIL PERSONNEL SERVICES
SPECIAL EDUCATION EXPERIENCE PREFERRED - 12 Month Position
Effective: August 1, 2025 or ASAP Thereafter
The Coordinator of Pupil Personnel Services will:
+ Report directly to the Superintendent.
+ Serve as the Chairperson for the Committee on Special Education (CSE) and Preschool Special Education (CPSE) to facilitate all meetings, adhere to all timelines and regulations as specified in Parts 200 and 201, collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure programs and services are implemented with fidelity.
+ Serve as the 504 Coordinator
+ Serve as the ELL Coordinator
+ Supervise direct reports, including the PPS Secretary, School Psychologist and Social Workers
+ Serve as an Independent Evaluator to complete formal classroom observations, observation reports, and to assist teachers in ongoing growth and development
+ Collaborate with Principals regarding oversight of Special Education teachers and Related Service providers
+ Take primary responsibility and collaborate with administrators and School Business Manager to manage 611, 619, Title I, Medicaid and other Federal Grant responsibilities
+ Serve as the McKinney-Vento Homeless liaison
+ Serve as the Home-schooling liaison in collaboration with GV BOCES
+ Facilitate data reporting to NYSED and other governing authorities
+ Collaborate with teachers and administrators to:
+ Provide tutoring services to homebound students
+ Support the needs of all students
+ Facilitate the Response to Intervention Process
+ Review and implement formal District plans
+ Coordinate professional development opportunities, including the use of TITLE II Funds
+ Complete requisitions, inventory, and distribute books, and on-line management programs related to district-wide instructional support
+ Pursue grant funds
+ Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with parents and all stakeholders
+ Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
Certification: SAS, SBL, SDA or SDL required, SDL preferred
Salary and Benefits: No less than $90,000 and negotiable based on experience, benefits as identified in Pembroke Administrators' Association (PAA) Contract.
