Coordinator of Recovery Peer Workforce Development
The Opportunity
The Coordinator of Recovery Peer Workforce Development develops and oversees workforce development activities for new and existing Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPAs). The Coordinator is responsible for implementing and conducting initial CRPA trainings (Recovery Coach Academy, etc.), as well as assessing the professional needs of working CRPAs, and in collaboration with THRIVE Program Management, developing trainings to meet these needs. The coordinator is responsible for development and oversight of internship opportunities at FCA and potential community partners for new CRPAs in the field.
Responsibilities
+ In collaboration with the Director of Recovery Services, obtain credentialing as a qualified trainer of Recovery Coach Academy and Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches curriculum. Responsible for the development of training schedule and as lead trainer.
+ Obtain credentials to provide CEUs to trainings facility under THRIVE University.
+ Work with THRIVE leadership to assess training gaps of CRPAs working on Long Island and develop and implement trainings to fill these gaps.
+ Develop internship program within all programs at FCA that utilize CRPAs. In collaboration with program management, provide comprehensive experience in harm reduction, treatment, and recovery programs.
+ Provide information and literature about the program to potential THRIVE University participants and partners.
+ Provide monthly reports for agency and agency partners.
+ Assist with marketing materials and social media management including the newsletter, website, and Facebook.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree required
+ CRPA required
+ One-two years of experience in substance use field
+ Knowledge of prevention, treatment, and recovery resources.
+ Experience with social media required
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Valid an clean driver's license required.
