Job Overview:
The Research Program Coordinator will work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) and a team of Community Health Ambassadors (CHA s) to coordinate and support the Understanding Latina Experiences with Victimization, Intersectionality, and Discrimination Research Project. The research project will examine the associations between victimization, discrimination, help-seeking, and mental health among the Latina population utilizing intersectionality. Intersectional criminology is needed to understand how identities shape experiences with victimization and go beyond a singular lens of the Latina population. This role involves managing day-to-day research activities, coordinating efforts for on-the-ground recruit of participants, collect data, ensuring effective communication among team members, maintaining strong relationships with community partners any other duties as per grant requirements.

Required:
Bachelor s Degree in Science, Social Work, Psychology or related field. Documented, related work experience may be substituted for academic requirements year by yearMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in research coordination or a related role, preferably within community-based researchStrong understanding of domestic violence issues, particularly within Latina communitiesDemonstrated experience working with diverse populations and a strong commitment to cultural competencyExcellent organizational and project management skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamAbility to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlinesKnowledge of IRB processes and ethical considerations in researchBe able to lift/push/pull up to 15 pounds and standing, walking, sitting for extended periods of timeValid NJ driver s licensePreferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferredScheduling Requirements:
Availability on weekend: potentially every other SaturdaysAvailability on weekdays, both evenings (2-3 times a week) and daytime (1/week) Nights and weekend availability requiredEssential Functions:
Coordinate efforts for on-the-ground recruit of participants from community-based organizations that work with the Latinx population. Of particular interest are community-based organizations that serve Latinx subpopulations such as Afro-Latinas, Indigenous-Latinas, queer Latinas, trans Latinxs, elderly Latinas, domestic workers, and disabled Latinas. Apply cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by Latina communities in the context of domestic violenceEnsure that research approaches and interventions are culturally appropriate and effective. Leverage the RWJUH Community Health Promotions extensive networks to identify organizations, invite them to participate in the project, coordinate 2-3 meetings of the community organizations (consortium meetings)Facilitate clear and consistent communication among all project stakeholders, including the PI, research team, community partners, and participantsPrepare and distribute regular project updates and reportsCoordinate the payment of stipends to community organizationsWork closely with PI to provide training and ongoing support to CHA s and other team members on research protocol survey data collection and community engagement strategiesTrack surveys collected per CHA s and assist with payment of stipends to CHA s and survey participantsWork closely with PI and the CHA s to assist with practice applications of results and disseminationPrepares reports on programs as requested. Reports should be comprehensive and completed within the established time frameApplies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services to all age groups (infants, pediatric, geriatric, adults, and adolescents)Participates in local community committees, advisory boards as appropriateOther Duties:
