Summary
Provides support for the quality department through the development, maintenance and coordination of assigned quality projects and chart reviews.
Responsibilities
• Assists with the development, review and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate quality meetings by providing assistance with meeting development and minutes.
• Coordinate departmental performance improvement initiatives for the hospital.
• Assist with documentation review for regulatory agencies.
• Assist with maintaining current standards for regulatory agencies.
• Contributes to preparation for accreditation, certification and surveys.
• Assists with maintaining contracted services quality data and agreements.
• Abstract and review charts as necessary for quality metrics.
• Coordinate and assist with recall process.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Qualifications: Candidate should have any one of the following experience: 1 year experience in healthcare quality, health information management or related field; 1 year of healthcare data experience using MS Excel, Access, and Word; 1 year of project management; or a degree in business, health care or related field in lieu of experience. Physical Requirements: Standard office conditions. Requires physical control, dexterity, visual and color perception and eye-hand coordination. Work requires little or no physical effort. Lifting or performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) is intermittent (not a routine part of the job) and secondary to the job.
