Coordinator- Special Projects/Full Time/Hybrid Detroit
The Coordinator of Special Projects provides administrative and project-focused support to Major Gift Officers (Clinical) within the Development Office. This position offers opportunities for hybrid work with a minimum requirement of 3 days in office and an optional 2 days a week from home. It's an exciting time to join the Henry Ford Health Development Office as we implement a campaign to establish a new hospital and research campus in Detroit while working alongside other Development office staff, Physician and Executive Leadership, and Donors. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Proactively organize and implement all administrative support activities including donor discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. + Coordinate meetings including scheduling, timekeeping, attending, and capturing and distributing minutes and action items for timely distribution for multiple people at any given time. + Coordinate logistics for lunch and dinner meetings, on and off campus + Assist with donor proposal preparation and donor reports + Proofread team and department related material + Coordinate with Donor Relations team to track stewardship activities such as thank you letters and gifts + Conduct and/or assist with prospect research as needed + Track and process team business expenses and make travel arrangements as needed + Input sensitive donor information and proposals in Raiser’s Edge + Collaborate with Manager, Administration, Major Gifts to ensure overall successful operation of the Major Gifts team EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1. Requires an Associate’s degree in business or a secretarial field from a business school or college in order to compose and prepare a variety of confidential reports, tables, memorandums, etc., and a minimum ofthree to five yearsprogressively more responsible related work experience necessary in order to gain in-depth understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and operations in order to assume a variety of high-level administrative details OR GED/High School diploma and a minimum offive to seven yearsprogressively more responsible related work experience in order to compose and prepare a variety of confidential reports, tables, memorandums, etc. and to gain in-depth understanding of organizational policies, procedures, and operations in order to assume a variety of high-level administrative details 2. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint 3. Adept with videoconferencing and other web-based technology 4. Excellent customer service, organizational, oral and written communication skills 5. Tact and sensitivity in working with donors and prospect information 6. Collegial individual who can anticipate needs 7. Energetic, self-motivated, flexible and the ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced work environment 8. Knowledge of relevant philanthropic principles, practices, and techniques preferred 9.
