Overview GENERAL DESCRIPTION Coordinates the volunteer program by determining needs for volunteers, evaluating volunteer's abilities, placing volunteers in worksites, overseeing the training of volunteers, developing policies and procedures, documenting volunteer hours and promoting the program. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Education or another related field; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) years of related experience is required. COMPETENCIES Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. knowledge of Contact Management systems; Database software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. OTHER REQUIREMENTS The employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
