Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Core Services Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting drill cores, sampling materials, maintaining production logs, and ensuring quality standards are met. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to perform physical tasks in a lab environment.
ResponsibilitiesCut drill core as directed by clients using a masonry saw.Review and interpret 'cut sheets' and contextual information inside core sample boxes.Sample material from core boxes based on specified intervals.Identify sample sequences and produce marked sample bags.Maintain personal production logs.Perform general cleaning duties to maintain basic lab cleanliness.Assist with general duties/tasks as required.Handle and stack core sample boxes.Inspect equipment and inform employees if adjustments are required.Maintain quality standards as set forth by protocol.Observe established safety regulations and comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in saw operation.Experience with hand tools.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.Ability to work in a hot and dusty environment.Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally lifting may exceed 50 lbs and assistance is mandatory from either another employee or lift assist equipment).Ability to sit at a desk and perform general office work, including periodic sedentary responsibilities.Must be clean-shaven to wear protective gear.Work Environment
The work environment is a tight-knit team with a family vibe. There is an opportunity to learn new equipment and develop skills. The role involves working in a lab setting, which can be hot and dusty. Safety gear is required, including being clean-shaven for protective equipment. Manual dexterity and the ability to lift heavy objects are necessary. Periodic desk work is also part of the job.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.39 - $18.39
