The Core Technical Engineer (CTE) for Chassis Vehicle Leveling Sensors (VLS) and Semi-Active Damping Accelerometers (ADS) ensures that sensor designs meet quality, performance, timing, and cost objectives in line with Program Development targets. This role serves as the single point of contact for the global mechatronics organization regarding vehicle leveling sensors and accelerometers. Responsibilities include creating component-level specifications & best practices, compiling lessons learned, creating component technology roadmaps, establishing supplier strategies, and offering technical support to regional Design and Release Engineers (DRE).

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree field. 5+ years of engineering experience in the automotive industry. Mechatronic component design and release experience. Understanding of chassis sensors and physical integration in vehicles. Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Experience with global project management and leading cross-functional teams. Proficiency in advanced CAD software such as NX, CATIA or SolidWorks. Experience designing and operating electrical test benches for software integration. Demonstrated experience with network communications: Class2, CAN, LIN, or Ethernet. Demonstrated experience with calibration and diagnostic tools such as CANalyzer, CANoe, INCA, Witech, or CDA. Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and practices related to automotive sensors and ECUs. Experience designing and writing vehicle specifications such as Performance Specifications (PFs), Vehicle Function Specifications (VFs), Plant Process Standards (PS), Design Practices (DPs), and component diagnostics requirements. Demonstrated experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and Reactive Problem-Solving Tools. Working knowledge of Stellantis Change Management Systems (CCD/CNs) and Chrysler Product Creation Process (CPCP) and Electrical Engineering Development Process (EEDP). Demonstrated leadership skills.
