Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Machining I position located in the Corinth, MS facility. In this position, you will load and unload machines with minimal operator input.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Work in a fast-paced, safety and quality focused environmentOperator should have attention to detail and be self-motivatedOperator will work in a team environmentCandidate will be required to interpret blueprintsWill perform quality checks based upon standard work requirementsCandidate is expected to understand torque requirements and processesOperate hand tools, cordless tools, gauges, vibration toolsMay be required to use an overhead hoist to move large componentsWill require loading and unloading partsMay be required to wear a detail suit with hood and/or respiratorMay require utilizing heavy equipment, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, and/or electric pallet jack to move parts in and out of areaMay require operation of CNC controls/programsMay require operating automated packaging equipmentMay require checking incoming material and entering dataCross training in other Salary Grade 2 positions may be required based upon basic qualifications and physical requirements being met.Examples of positions within salary grade 2 include Disassembly 1, Cleaning 1, 2 Assembly 1, 2 and Logistics 1Utilize various computer systems including email on a regular basisCandidate will work in an environment without close supervision
 

Basic Qualifications:

Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)Required to read/write and interpret documents

Prior use of hoistsKnowledge of engines and componentsExperience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, gauges, pneumatic tools, etc.)Previous machining experiencePrevious experience reading and interpreting blueprintsExperience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and ExcelMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Physical Requirements:

Job may be physically demanding at times and must be able to handle high volume fast pace operationSome positions will require forklift operation/trainingMay work in an environment with frequently changing temperaturesMay walk, squat and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutesMust be able to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment)May require respirator physical and trainingMay be required to lift/push/pull heavy parts up to 30 lbs. multiple times per shiftMust be able to stand for up to 10+ hours per shiftMust have a flexible schedule

This position is 3rd shift with an additional 7% night shift premium

Work Hours: 10PM - 6AM; Sunday - Thursday

Summary Pay Range:

$17.50 - $22.70

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
