City Las Vegas State NV Shift Day Type of Shift Full Time Department Marketing Corp Business Intelligence Analyst Golden Entertainment Corporate (Las Vegas, NV) Description: Summary: Responsible for the development, maintenance, and training on all BI solutions to enable data-driven decision making within the corporation. Works as part of a team to design, build, deploy, support, and train on our BI solutions platform. Supports creation of ad-hoc queries using Transact SQL (T-SQL) and the creation of report solutions using SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), SAS Visual Analytics / VIYA, Tableau, and OLAP cubes. Essential Functions: + Create ad-hoc data queries using T-SQL against Golden Corp Data Warehouse + Assist with implementation/review of data quality improvement processes and initiatives + Develops enhancements to the data warehouse. + Provide support and expertise to business partners to assist with increased utilization of BI tools + Assist the Business Intelligence team in understanding data requirements from source systems for inclusion into the Business Intelligence platform + Maintain alerts to ensure all daily jobs execute properly, provide corrective actions if needed to ensure successful execution + Collaborate with business users and subject matter experts to establish a vision for providing BI solutions + Develop milestones and timelines while managing small-to-mid scale projects + Participate in the evaluation of new BI tools for incorporation into the BI toolset + Develop methodologies and processes for turning customer transaction data into actionable information to be utilized by properties and corporate marketing teams + Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, as they apply to the position + Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards + Performs other duties as assigned Requirements: Qualifications/Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Computer Science or Business, or equivalent SQL work experience preferred + Previous experience working with MS-SQL required + Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of development while prioritizing commitments and managing time effectively + Ability to write intermediate/advanced queries using T-SQL required + Prior experience working with and/or in gaming industry preferred + Previous experience using the following preferred: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, MSVS, SAS VIYA, Tableau and Excel Pivots + Requires a balance of technical knowledge, problem solving, report development, and communication skills + Must possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills + Must be detail oriented, have the ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment, regularly meet/exceed service level agreement requirements, and provide excellent internal customer service + Previous experience/exposure with the following source systems preferred: Synkros, Agilysys LMS, InfoGenesis, SAS/CI360, and Tableau + Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal + Must be at least 21 years of age + Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company + Verify right to work in the United States Work Cards + Nevada Gaming Physical Requirements + Vision, hearing, speaking and literacy (critical) + Must be able to work in fast-paced, busy environment + Regularly required to sit at a desk or table Disclaimer The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
