Corporate Accountant

**Your Impact:**
The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions, direct and indirect tax compliance as per Indian statutory rules, as well as partnering with other departments to obtain timely and accurate information. This is a “roll-up-your-sleeves” Corporate and Tax Accountant position that involves broad-based responsibility chartered to providing critical support and leadership for increasing the effectiveness of the global accounting and tax organization. We are looking for a motivated candidate that has a strong background in accounting that wants to grow their career within a dynamic, high growth organization. The Corporate and Tax Accountant will report into the Financial Controller, India and will help automate the accounting process, Liasoning with consultant over the tax compliance, E-Invoicing/GST streamlining while simultaneously having a meaningful impact on the overall business.
**Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your Core Competencies:**
1. Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure all accounting transactions and processes adhere to Indian GAAP guidelines while maintaining precise and compliant general ledger details, including journal entries, reconciliations, and documentation.
2. Account Reconciliation and Review: Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts (e.g., receivables, prepaid expenses, inventory, and accruals) while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance in the general ledger.
3. SAP ERP Expertise: Utilize your expertise with SAP ERP Accounting and related modules to drive efficient and effective financial management.
4. Tax Compliance: Oversee GST return filings, tax audits, and withholding tax compliance while addressing assessments in a timely manner.
5. T&E Claims Verification: Review and approve employee claims submitted via Concur, ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory compliance.
6. Distributor Claims and Settlements: Validate distributor claims, reconcile chargeback points, and ensure settlements are processed accurately and in accordance with agreed terms. Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your Supporting Competencies:
7. Banking and Financial Support: Manage bank relationships, facilitate LC (Letter of Credit) and Bank Guarantee requirements, and ensure smooth cash flow operations.
8. Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors by providing requested information and addressing findings proactively to maintain compliance.
9. Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and nurture effective working relationships with facility leadership, regional financial teams, and global accounting teams to achieve shared goals.
10. Ad-hoc Analysis and Reporting: Respond to inquiries with insightful financial analysis, provide actionable reports, and support decision-making through timely, data-driven insights.

**Minimum Requirements:**
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline is required. Master’s is preferred.
CA designation (or in process) is preferred.
Must have 3-4 years of experience in an accounting, tax and/or related field.
Strong systems skills with 1-2 years of experience working with SAP and Compliance modules.
Strong understanding of Indian Standards
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Enthusiastic and results oriented, with the ability to drive continuous improvement in business and financial processes.
Must possess the highest degree of integrity and ethical standards.
Have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong desire to be a team player.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback.
Handles confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence and good judgment.
