We are seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager to join an expanding team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of corporate financials by collaborating closely with Corporate Personnel, Payroll, Treasury, and Residential Accounting teams. This position oversees the daily activities of direct reports and is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements.

The day-to-day:

Responsible for the supervision, training, and development of the Corporate Team and Accounts Payable Team.Works closely with Payroll, Treasury, IT, Finance, and Executive Team in coordination of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and chart of accounts auditing.Ensure financial statements are prepared accurately and timely in accordance with company accounting policies and procedures.Analytically reviews the balance sheet and income statement monthly to ensure accuracy.Reviews and books journal entries and ensures quality of journal entry backup.Responsible for analyzing corporate financial statements and providing detailed variance explanations as well as overall summary.Assists with the preparation and review of annual budget as well as quarterly reforecasts.Responsible for departmental adherence to corporate budget.Reviews and approves invoices to ensure coding accuracy.Monitors intercompany accounts, oversees timing and accuracy of intercompany transactions.Reviews and approves corporate bank accounts.Responsible for significant corporate payments such as tax, insurance, and benefits.Monitors accounts payable and accounts receivable for timeliness and accuracy.Reviews/prepares funding requests and cash updates as needed.Oversees the Corporate Credit Card program as well as the Expense Report system (Certify) for compliance and accuracy.Complies with Company policies and procedures, accounting policies and procedures, and applicable local, state, and federal laws.

 Qualifications:


Minimum 4 years of experience with practical experience in Real Estate accounting and/or Property Management.Minimum 2 years supervisory experienceExperience with Yardi is highly desired. Experience in cash management, forecasting and planning.Bachelor’s degree in accounting required from an accredited four-year college or university CPA is preferred
