ROLE OVERVIEW:

As the Corporate Affairs Associate Director (Communications) you will join Lilly’s Corporate Affairs team which is responsible for all Company interactions with the media, parliamentarians, government officials and community partners. You will be an outstanding communications expert looking to join our growing capabilities in the Nordics, with responsibility for leading overall communications activity.

In this role you will have a mix of responsibilities across internal and external communications work spanning all three of our business areas – cardiometabolic, neuroscience and specialty (including oncology and immunology). You will take the lead on specific projects and workstreams to best position existing and new products to gain market share of voice, working in partnership with the wider Public Affairs and PRA teams and with regional and global communications colleagues.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Communications:

Accountable for setting and delivering against an annual communications strategy for the Nordics.Shaping the external media environment for Lilly and its three business unit areas across Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.Leading and driving the media strategy around key proactive announcements, including product authorisations, launches and clinical trial data releases.Representing Lilly to journalists, at senior collaborator meetings and staffing the Nordic GM and other key Lilly Leaders on external engagements.Partnering with our EU team to define and support communications priorities and partner engagement on EU issues.

Operation and Execution:

Ensuring full understanding, appreciation and adherence to the highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.Lead projects/agencies to achieve set objectives to time and to budget. 

ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

A record of success in senior advocacy/communications /Media relations skills.Demonstrated experience in developing and driving integrated public affairs and communications campaigns.Experience working in a global organization or within a matrixed structure, delivering across multiple markets.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & PREFERENCES:

Previous direct communications experience in neuroscience, oncology, immunology or cardiometabolic health.A politics, communications, journalism or public policy background.  Proficiency with AI and ML tools (i.e. Co-pilot) and data analytics software.Familiarity with the healthcare and political environment in the Nordics.Experience in marketing or in pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
