Position Overview
The Corporate Affairs Intern will help develop materials to communicate about the Exact Sciences brand and company to internal and external audiences, including Exact Sciences employees, advocacy groups, national partners, news media, community organizations, and government agencies. The position allows an undergraduate student to obtain hands-on writing and communications experience while contributing to the company’s effort to help eradicate cancer.
This internship will be based out of our Madison, WI office location.
Essential Duties
These include but are not limited to:
Develop succinct, solidly written content and presentation materials that engage various audiences, including Exact Sciences employees, media, advocacy groups, community partners, and health care professionalsFollow and champion brand voice guidelines across multiple owned channelsCollaborate with other team members on various written pieces, projects, and internal and external eventsSupport presentation content development for internal events, including all-team meetings, workshops, and day-to-day communicationsHelp maintain and organize communication materials, ensuring easy access to up-to-date resources for the teamManage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively while meeting deadlines and adapting to shifting prioritiesSupport internal review submissions and required processes for external-facing contentUphold company purpose and values, demonstrating accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and proceduresAttend work reliably and as scheduledPhysical requirements:Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately less than 1% of a typical working dayAbility to work seated for approximately 90-100% of a typical working day. Ability to work while standing for approximately 50% of a typical working dayAbility to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working dayAbility to grasp with both hands; pinch with thumb and forefinger; turn with hand/arm; reach above shoulder heightAbility to work on a computer and phone simultaneouslyAbility to use a telephone through a headsetAbility to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirementsTravel requirements:Ability and means to travel between among Madison locationsAbility to travel 10% of working time away from work location; may include overnight/weekend travelMinimum Qualifications
Enrollment toward a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related fieldProficiency in Microsoft Office suite of productsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with strong interpersonal skillsAuthorization to work in the United States without sponsorshipDemonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodationPreferred Qualifications

$34,000.00 - $54,000.00The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
