Job Description:

   

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is looking for someone who is passionate about our mission - to improve the way people live and work - with a real interest in how technology can drive outcomes for society.  You will provide research and project management support in the Corporate Affairs department, with a particular focus on supporting our global campaign work, enabling the team to leverage global platforms to drive strategic outcomes centered on two key objectives: fostering meaningful partnership and policy development with key governments relations; and bolstering our reputation as a sustainable and responsible company with a focus on modern slavery & forced forced labour.

The mission of the Corporate Affairs organization is to protect and support HPE’s business through strategic engagement with governments, civil society and customers and partners and is responsible for delivering a range of functional support for HPE through our teams that include Government Relations, Living Progress (our commitment to sustainability), and Global Partnerships.

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability while maintaining excellent project management and organization skills in a high-energy, dynamic work environment, and contributing to the smooth operation and success of the department and its projects.

Key responsibilities

This Corporate Affairs internship position will be required to undertake (but not be restricted to) the following activities as part of their role:

Project management- in support of teams to execute against long-term strategic objectives and more immediate goals as requiredBriefings and research – researching and drafting of briefing notes and social media posts for HPE executives and Corporate Affairs leadershipPresentations – planning, structuring, and, at times, delivering presentations for internal and external audiences related to key Corporate Affairs projects; drafting clear emails and memos for internal audiencesEvents – planning, organising and co-coordinating key events

Desired skills and qualifications

Demonstrated research and critical thinking skillsRobust organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsSkilled in Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint and Excel and experience leveraging Generative AI software.A believer in the power of public-private collaboration and interest in current affairs, policy, and technology.At least one term at completed at the university level  or equivalent practical experience.
