The Chef is a unique member of the North America (NA) Go to Market Team at McCain. This role contributes to the development of McCain’s progressive food culture, leveraging culinary within specific channels as a lever of competitive competitor advantage for McCain. The role requires a blend of exceptional execution, commercial business savvy and hands-on, detailed involvement in the day-to-day business.  


Accountabilities: 

Input relevant channel culinary insight and trends (eg. menu, front of house, back of house) into Channel and Business Unit (BU) (ie. Potato, Appetizers) marketing and sales execution plans. Intimate insight and knowledge of culinary landscape and developing trends (eg. menu, front of house, back of house), to shape executional plans. Partner with Commercial peers to deliver the culinary role of Joint Business Plans and Customer Growth Plans across strategic customers. Work with the Channel Teams to develop internal and external culinary resource plans and priorities to ensure the BU annual plans are operationalized across the Sales and all Customer tiers.Develop, in partnership with Channel Teams, plans for culinary capability building across Sales Teams.Contribute, where relevant, to the Innovation process to establish operator needs as a foundation for development.Plays an active role in delivering Culinary Customer Commitments to strengthen relationships with strategic key customers.Adhere to commercial controls and processes across sales execution in market, ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach across all commercial processes. Responsible for providing insight and analysis to recommend culinary solutions and insights to the Channel Teams, Sales and Commercial teams.Accountable for the implementation of culinary specific plan in Channel and initiatives that aligns with annual and long-term plans to support the overall success of McCain meeting/exceeding business objectives. Co-Create culinary-driven gold standards and consumer-inspired concepts across a wide variety of food categories with R&D partners and other chefs.Develop culinary applications that demonstrate the breadth and value of the McCain portfolio of Potato and appetizer products for multiple channels and accounts.Build culinary-to-culinary connections with key customers.Partner with foodservice Innovation team and Insights team to identify and explore current and future trends that inspire consumers.Collaborate with R&D and other technical business units to evaluate and explore branded and innovation products using different cooking/holding platforms to find solutions for customer needs.

 

Qualifications: 

Culinary expertise and qualificationsEducation: Degree in Culinary Arts. Food Science knowledge is a plus.Membership in Research Chefs Association and/or similar industry organizations a plus.Ability to travel up to 40% to customers across North America.McCain is a private company and family owned – the ideal candidate needs to be very people-focused and embrace a culture of humility. Minimum 8 years solid culinary experience in a preferred mix of heavy Foodservice to corporate roles.

Compensation Package: $81,600.00 -$108,900.00  USD annually + bonus eligibility 

 

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
