Corporate Clinical Resource Manager (RN or RD)
Overview:
Innovative Renal Care is seeking an experienced Corporate Clinical Resource Manager (RN or RD) to lead our medication formulary management efforts. This critical role supports patient care excellence by optimizing the use of high-cost medications and supplies, driving compliance, and fostering education across our healthcare organization.
Essential Functions:
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all Innovative Renal Care (IRC) policies, federal, state, OSHA, and other agency regulations, including HIPAA. Apply knowledge of ESRD Medicare Regulations to ensure all formulary activities align with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Formulary Management:Maintain and update the medication formulary to meet organizational needs and regulatory standards. Oversee the formulary exception trackers and evaluate medication requests, referring them for physician review as necessary. Collaboration and Expertise:
Partner with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective formulary management. Serve as a resource management expert, representing the corporate clinical and regulatory team in decisions regarding new medications and resources. Data Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor and analyze trends in medication and supply usage to identify areas for improvement. Prepare and deliver monthly operational reports to support data-driven decision-making. Education and Training:
Develop and deliver educational and training programs for healthcare providers and staff, focusing on the optimal use of high-cost medications, formulary management, and medication usage. Research and Development: Assist in coordinating research efforts related to the evaluation of new products or medications introduced into the organization. Professional Development:
Maintain active membership in relevant national organizations to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Required Education and Experience Education:
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Dietitian (RD). Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required. 3-5 years of experience in formulary management, pharmacy, or a related healthcare field. Proven track record of training and developing staff through practical knowledge and expertise. Familiarity with equipment used in Innovative Renal Care home programs is highly desirable. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect effectively with diverse audiences. Strategic mindset with a clear understanding of the business implications of decisions. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound, independent judgment and creatively adapt to evolving needs and situations.
