We’re looking for current sophomores (rising juniors) interested in careers in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for internship opportunities in the summer of 2025. Internships are competitive, ten weeks in length, and will focus on a variety of exciting projects specific to the communications field. Through these projects, mentorship, exposure to leadership, and a final presentation, you will gain invaluable experience for your future career. This role is currently planned as a hybrid opportunity in our corporate office in Chicago, IL.
 

Ways you will make a difference Support Communications Strategy: Assist in the creation and execution of corporate communications strategies that enhance our reputation in local and national markets. Content Creation: Help manage content development for public relations, social media, and corporate brand marketing campaigns, including blog and social media posts, press releases, and website content. Media Relations: Participate in the coordination of media relations efforts, including drafting media materials, managing media lists, and supporting media outreach. Corporate Reputation Projects: Contribute to key corporate reputation initiatives, such as developing materials and maintaining content for our corporate website and working a social media revamp project. Collaboration: Work closely with the Public Affairs & Community Relations team to align messaging and priorities across all communications efforts. Mentorship: Learn from and collaborate with experienced professionals in the field, gaining exposure to high-level strategic discussions and decision-making processes. Final Presentation: Present your completed project to department leaders, showcasing your contributions and insights gained during the internship.
  Skills that will make you successful Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail. Creative Thinking: Ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Comfortable using tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for content creation and presentations. Experiences that will support your success Current Sophomore, majoring in: Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Marketing, Journalism, or related field. Interest in Corporate Communications: A passion for public relations, brand marketing, and storytelling, with a desire to learn best-in-class business practices. Leadership & Initiative: Demonstrated leadership abilities and involvement in campus activities or related internships. Compensation
