About you and this role Dowhas an exciting opportunity for a leadCorporate Communications Managerin the Corporate Communications team. This position can be located at most Dow locations globally. This dynamic and multi-faceted role includes strong cross-functional collaboration with Corporate Development, Office of the Corporate Secretary, Investor Relations, Corporate Brand and social media team, EHS&S team, the Office of the CEO, and business communicators on a regular basis. This role requires an understanding of Dow’s strategy, its business structure, the chemical industry and industry trends. A successful candidate will have strategic and critical thinking skills, strong writing skills, self-motivated with a bias for action, business/financial acumen, and the ability to effectively collaborate with global and diverse business, functional and geographic teams. Responsibilities Serve as a key leader and collaborator to develop and drive communications about Dow’s ambition, which is to be the most innovative, customer-centric, inclusive and sustainable materials science company in the world. + Responsible for designing, developing and publishing Dow’s annual Corporate Overview presentation; a strategic publication available to the global organization for use with internal and external stakeholders to communicate about Dow, its strategy, markets served, and more. + Collaborate in the development and implementation of ambition related communications across the organization as appropriate. Lead and contribute to Dow’s INtersections report, a voluntary sustainability report that details how the company is delivering on its ambition and commitments to change the world for the better. + Member of Dow’s INtersections Report Steering Team, partnering with other team members to develop and communicate Dow’s annual INtersections Report. + Lead the development of Vision, Business, Strategy and Corporate Governance chapter(s) for annual INtersections Report. + Lead and execute the INtersections digital strategy. Responsible for the structure, content maintenance of thePurpose in Actionpages on corporate.dow.com. Serve as the Public Affairs focal point for the Office of the Corporate Secretary providing communication leadership and support. + Responsible for the development and implementation of spotlight “gallery walks” for Board of Directors meetings designed to educate and inspire. + Support content development and messaging for strategic, shareholder-focused publications and events such as the Proxy Statement and Annual Meeting of Stockholders, and other governance-related communications. Lead internal communications for the Corporate Development team. + Responsible for the Corporate Development intranet site, which is an important internal channel to communicate Dow’s strategy for the global employee population. + Provide communications leadership and counsel to the Working Capital planning and Strategic Planning and Business Analytics team including Dow Connect articles, videos, slide decks, webcasts, etc. Collaborate to implement the “One Dow” Enterprise Reputation strategy. + The objective of the “One Dow” Enterprise Reputation strategy is to increase Dow’s brand and reputation by aligning around a unified objective and executing through strategic and thoughtful collaboration that drives accountability, performance, and transparency to maximize the impact of our communications with key stakeholders. + Member of the “One Dow” Editorial Production Team helping draft, coordinate and execute ESG/ambition-aligned communications across various communication channels (blogs, brand videos, key message development, etc.) supporting the “One Dow” Enterprise Reputation strategy. Qualifications + A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking. + A minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in Public Affairs or Communications. + For U.S. Applicants:A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. Preferred Skills + Understanding of the chemical industry, industry trends, Dow’s strategy and business structure. + Business and financial acumen. + Successful collaborator who can work with a cross-functional team and successfully manage multiple stakeholders. + Strong project management and agency management skills. + Deliver on multiple deadlines and priorities as a self-directed individual, comfortable with a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. + Communicate directly and succinctly across multiple organizational levels. + Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and troubleshoot inefficient, unreliable processes. + Strong writing skills; expert in Word and PowerPoint.
