The finance and accounting group at Armanino is growing quickly based on the success of our firm, which is quickly approaching $1B revenue. Reporting to the CFO, Armanino is looking for a world-class Corporate Controller as part of this continuing drive for excellence. We are in search for individuals who are results driven with a high sense of urgency, taking ownership having the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.  

Job Responsibilities 

Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close and reporting processes, including revenue recognition, and all accounting

Plan and own all accounting activities across the organization, to ensure compliance with GAAP, statutory guidelines, and internal financial policies and procedures, along with basic knowledge of cash-basis operations

Lead annual audit process

Lead GL, AR, AP, Collections, and Payroll ‘FinOps’ groups of 30+ people

Manage multiple legal entities’ accounting and treasury/banking

Manage annual 401k audit 

Identify the need for and implement systems and leverage technology to build scalable/sustainable processes to create efficiencies, new capabilities, streamline accounting operations and improve the employee experience

Manage preparation of accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance with those policies

Support internal tax professionals for the firm’s annual tax return

Lead M&A integration actions on behalf of the accounting group

Help manage partner support for payroll, tax and equity

Demonstrate thought leadership in how to run an accounting organization in a high growth environment where change is a constant and welcomed

Participate in key strategic initiatives and assist with ad hoc projects

Benchmark with industry peers on methodologies related to accounting, systems, policies, and processes to establish world class accounting across the board

 
Requirements 

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with experience in public accounting

Strong technical skills and experience with US GAAP-compliant financial statements

Minimum 15 years of directly relevant experience, including implementing new and improved accounting processes, scaling operations for high growth companies, a track record of finance technology implementations, and experience running accounting organizations at medium or large enterprise-sized companies

Minimum 8 years’ people leadership experience with the proven ability to motivate and hold teams accountable for high performance

Experience with AR, AP and cash applications

Ability to think on your feet and adapt to a fast-moving, ever-changing business

Preferred Qualifications 

Experience with business where people and services are an integral part of the product, including the accounting thereof 

Experience with Partnership accounting desired, but not required

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. The compensation range for this position: $252,900 - $342,150. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
