Corporate Counsel, Ethics and Compliance

Lucid is looking for an experienced investigator and compliance officer to join our legal team. This role will help develop and operate the company’s internal investigation program and Ethics & Compliance Program. Experience in at least one of these areas is required; experience in both is highly desired. 

Location: Newark, CA

 
You Will:

Support the appropriate operation of a cross-functional internal investigations program   Monitor the internal case management system to ensure alignment with our investigation procedures and that records are appropriately classified  Conduct sensitive internal investigations into potential violations of law, regulation or company policy in relation to sanctions, trade and/or other issues arising within the Ethics & Compliance department  Manage process for collection of ESI and other evidence  Provide concise, practical and actionable advice and/or direction to business informed by investigative findings and root cause analyses   Prepare detailed investigation reports of the highest quality  Prepare reports and updates to Audit Committee, Board of Directors and outside auditors  Analyze investigations data for trends / hot-spots within the organization  Support the designing and implementing of an effective ethics and compliance program, including program governance frameworks and tools to automate processes  Assist in designing and implementing of employee training on compliance related topics, policies, and/or procedures  Administer and support the development, monitoring and updating of the company’s policies and procedures  Implement improvements in communication, monitoring, or enforcement of compliance standards  Work with counterparts throughout the organization to operate and promote both programs  Monitor and report on KPIs for the programs and track the same 

You Bring: 

Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; JD with active bar registration preferred  4-6 years total of related work experience, with at least 2 years of experience in Ethics and Compliance or Investigation programs  Knowledge of policies and procedures related to Ethics & Compliance and/or investigations  Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to communicate key program concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff  Successful experience working, collaborating, and establishing credibility and relationships with leadership, colleagues, and clients throughout the world  Demonstrated success working with internal audit, external auditors, outside consultants, and Legal  Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale projects  CIPP or CCEP certification desired
