About the right team member

We are looking for a talented, hard-working team player with a minimum of six years of relevant experience to join our legal team and support Mindbody + ClassPass around the world. This is a unique opportunity to work on a wide variety of exciting and challenging matters in a fast-paced and collaborative environment where you can really make a difference. In this role, you will have broad commercial responsibilities and will help all aspects of the business. You will identify and advise on legal risks, business strategies, draft and negotiate a wide variety of contracts, review marketing materials, research the regulatory landscape, provide general support for business transactions and general operations, and the legal team.

About the roleJ.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state barAt least 6 years of relevant legal experience. In-house experience a plus, ideally in the technology industryHigh degree of professional ethics and integrityExperience in leading contract negotiationsAbility to drive cross-functional projectsStrong business acumen and practical approach to legal challengesExperience advising clients and managing projects on deadlines with minimal  supervisionExperience collaborating with business teams and other members of the legal team (regulatory, product, privacy, etc.) to ensure business needs are metAbility to clearly and effectively communicate complex legal points and concepts to a diverse array of internal stakeholdersAbility to quickly learn new software applications and technologies and associated legal issuesExcellent written and verbal communications skillsStrong proofreading skillsAbility to juggle many competing priorities and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, sometimes ambiguous environmentExcels at working independently and as part of a teamWillingness to learn and take on matters outside your primary practice areasSkills & experienceProvide legal and strategic business advice to help develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to the commercial aspects of our products and programsDraft and negotiate contractsInterpret contract requirements, obligations and risk exposure and advise on sameEducate business partners on key commercial, legal, corporate policy and other considerationsFacilitate the timely closure of business transactions while minimizing risk exposureReview marketing materials and provide guidance on product requirementsIdentify and mitigate risks and liabilitiesAdvise business teams in a variety of domestic and international locationsProvide legal support for other departments and initiatives as requiredAll other duties as identifiedHave we piqued your curiosity?
