Who You Are:

As the Corporate Counsel, you are a dedicated and knowledgeable legal professional with a strong background in corporate law. You have experience handling general corporate matters, regulatory and compliance issues, insurance, and vendor contract negotiations. You are adept at drafting and negotiating various transactional documents and are well-versed in internal corporate policies and procedures.

The Impact You Will Have:

You will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s legal operations. Your expertise will ensure that the company navigates legal complexities effectively, maintains compliance with regulations, and manages risks associated with insurance and vendor contracts. Your contributions will help streamline internal policies and procedures, ultimately facilitating smoother business operations and strategic growth.

What You Will Do:

Overseeing general corporate legal matters

Negotiating and drafting customer and vendor contracts as well as various other transactional matters

Assisting with legal and regulatory compliance

Assisting with compliance with various domestic and international privacy laws

Assisting with the company’s data security program

Assisting with management of the Company’s insurance program and operations

Assisting with a variety of other legal functions such as loans, joint ventures, acquisitions, construction, real estate, intellectual property protection, tax abatements, litigation, etc.

Managing collections on customer accounts

Performing a broad range of legal matters and general business matters based on the needs of the company, as assigned.

Working with and managing outside counsel, counterparties, insurers, and other third parties as needed

What You Will Need to be Successful

J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentials

Admission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of Columbia

Three or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer working in a general corporate transactional practice

Ability to effectively manage others, including outside counsel and service providers

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Box, Workday, DocuSign

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with project finance and/or asset-based lending
