Corporate Counsel
Responsibilities Make an impact Review, advise, and negotiate contract terms daily with internal and external stakeholders to limit Swisslog liability, create clarity, preserve rights, and maximize efficiency. Advise regarding commercial compliance policies. Identify and analyze project risks and opportunities and educate project manager workforce on legal risk and risk mitigation in project sales, delivery, and customer support. Advise and mentor sales functions in the business,  Review and standardize customer, vendor and other supply chain contracts as assigned by VP, Legal. Manage external counsel and e-discovery in litigation and litigation business strategy, as needed. Preserve Swisslog rights under contracts and ensure proper notices are provided. Educate workforce on development of evidence to support claims against project subcontractors and owners.  Manages regional tasks related to liens, bonds, guarantees, and comfort letters. Manages legal reporting systems and works with legal staff on state specific licensing requirements. Assist with management of corporate governance. Develop training materials and courses. Manage insurance claims as necessary. Maintains a clean and professional appearance at all times and promotes a positive image of the Swisslog Organization. Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and management, and, as needed with client leadership and personnel. Understand and anticipate departmental needs and corporate matters; delivers high quality service and results. Performs other duties, as assigned.   Application Requirements What you need to succeed Essential: Law Degree   Law license in Virginia, Georgia, Ohio or one of 50 states with eligibility to be admitted in Virginia or Georgia Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, preferably in warehouse automation and construction.  Excellence in English. Proficient Microsoft Office365 software skills. Comfortable working in technical engineering focused environment. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to present and train Excellent time management and general organizational skills Experience supporting multiple levels of management Strong attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure Ability to work in an unsupervised environment Highly motivated self-starter Desirable but not Essential: Corporate governance and reporting experience, intellectual property experience. Experience working in a corporate legal department, as a contract specialist, or similar function. Experience working in a construction and/or software related industry. Spanish language skills may be useful but are not necessary.
