KDP Ireland is seeking to add a strategic, agile and proactive Corporate Counsel responsible for providing legal and strategic direction to the Company in a wide range of commercial areas for Keurig Dr Pepper’s business in Europe, Asia, Central America and South America. The successful candidate will report to the Sr Director, Legal, based in Ireland, and will provide general commercial legal support and advice in various commercial areas, including corporate structuring, transactions, corporate secretarial, compliance, human resources, privacy and regulatory.
Position Responsibilities
Manage all corporate and Board support functions in all countries outside North America, including preparing corporate secretarial filings for all countries, managing Board meetings, and generally ensuring best-in-class standards of corporate governance within corporate entities;Support Keurig Dr Pepper’s global businesses in Europe, Asia, Central and South America on local regulatory requirements, including in relation to food, environmental, etc.;Support the Tax, Treasury and Finance functions on strategic projects to ensure legal compliance and achieve business objectives in Europe, Asia, Central and South America;Work with various functions on the structuring of ownership of assets, including intellectual property assets, in an appropriate and efficient manner;Support the strategic direction for intercompany agreements and processes informing global work in this area;Work with various internal and external stakeholders on initiatives to drive compliance in Europe, Asia, Central and South America, including in relation to FCPA compliance, Denied Party Screening for Anti-Money Laundering, EU deforestation laws and other applicable legal requirements; Maintain and promote compliance policies and procedures;Identify the need for legal support within business transactions and projects, and effectively implement initiatives that drive compliance; Develop strong relationships with business partners and work strategically with KDP’s business teams to reach company’s goals;Collaborate efficiently and effectively across legal and business functions in a manner that adds value, balances risk and protects the company’s reputation; andFollow all Keurig Dr Pepper and KDP Ireland policies and procedures. Requirements 8+ years of experience in international corporate / commercial law at a large law firm or corporate legal department, including complex multi-country agreements and cross-border transactions.Experience advising global teams and collaborating with global functions.Ability to work in a fast-paced organization; manage and prioritized multiple issues and projects while being highly responsive.Excellent judgment in knowing how to proactively communicate, escalate issues and propose solutions.Analytical / Problem Solving Skills.Collaborative behaviours, including ability to effectively communicate with business leaders.Strong decision-making abilities and experience working within teams on large projects.Ability to function at a high level where geographically separated from the larger corporate legal team.Education & Technical Skills
Graduate of an accredited law school.8+ years’ experience in general corporate / commercial law with a corporation and/or large law firm.
