Northrop Grumman’s Law Department is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its Ethics and Compliance Group at the Company’s headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. The Corporate Counsel will play a critical role in developing, implementing and managing various ethics and compliance activities.

 Specific responsibilities may include: 

Advising on legal and regulatory developments and enforcement environmentsDeveloping and implementing legal strategies and managing the Company’s actions in relation to key compliance activitiesCollaborating across all parts of the business to provide effective legal advice to the Company Analyzing information from various sources and conducting risk assessments to advise the Company on compliance risks and opportunitiesWorking with and managing external lawyers and services providers where necessaryBriefing senior management

We are seeking a candidate with the following skills:

Excellent written and oral communications, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, risk assessment and negotiation skills Strong work ethic and collaborative approach Highest standards of integrity Ability to balance multiple, competing priorities Ability to learn new subject matter areas quickly and in detail

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Juris Doctor degreeAbility to become a member of the Virginia Bar or licensed Virginia corporate counselAt least eight years of relevant experienceExperience working in or with federal regulatory and enforcement agenciesProven experience assessing and advising on legal risks and opportunitiesAbility to obtain and hold a U.S. DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with government contractsExperience supporting clients in the defense and/or intelligence communities Experience across multiple regulatory and/or enforcement areasExperience coordinating significant, complex projectsFamiliarity with antitrust law

Salary Range: $221,600.00 - $318,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
