This is a hybrid role based in our St. Louis office, conveniently located in downtown St. Louis next to the iconic Gateway Arch and Busch Stadium. Our Legal Department plays a crucial role in supporting our business units and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to: 

Provide legal counsel and advice to business unit management on legal matters affecting HOK. Review, draft, edit, and negotiate various contracts, including client contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, software and technology licenses, non-disclosure agreements, and teaming agreements. Counsel internal clients on contract interpretation, adherence to HOK policy, compliance with procurement regulations, intellectual property/data rights, payment rights, change management, contract disputes, and termination provisions. Anticipate and mitigate legal, regulatory, and compliance risks facing HOK. Assist in developing and recommending the firm's position on various legal issues. Review client contracts for liability and insurance issues; negotiate desired language; and troubleshoot legal issues with internal clients. Assist in developing and implementing the firm's data privacy policies and procedures to comply with applicable laws and regulations. Respond to requests from individuals regarding their personal data. May assist with resolving legal issues or concerns in the areas of human resources, insurance, or professional liability. Take personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
