Corporate Counsel (Real Estate) is a member of the legal team who reports to the Deputy General Counsel, VP - Real Estate and supports the company’s real estate activities and operations, such as acquisitions / dispositions, leasing, zoning and land use, entitlements, real estate finance, tax incentives, and other real estate development activities. This position maintains compliance with relevant contract policies and procedures and provides direct support to the company’s acquisition and development team and business units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Real Estate Matters:
Support the legal aspects of the company’s real estate activities, operations, and transactions. This includes the negotiation and drafting of various legal documents and agreements, including those pertaining to real estate purchase/sale agreements, financing, leasing, tax incentives, economic development projects, title review and insurance, zoning and land use, easements and restrictive covenants, and management of multiple deals and deal flow. Role would include working with outside counsel, counterparties, vendors, insurers, and other third parties. Non-Real Estate Matters:

J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic credentialsAdmission to the Bar of a U.S. state or the District of ColumbiaThree or more years of legal experience as a practicing lawyer working in a general corporate transactional practice, preferably real estatePreferred Qualifications:
