Position Summary:

At Delta Defense, you'll break free from the conventional corporate routine and engage your passion in a role that directly influences business strategy and success. As an in-house Corporate Attorney, you'll tackle diverse legal challenges across areas like contract negotiations, compliance, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance. Please note that at least 3 years of experience in corporate law is required; personal injury attorneys need not apply.

This mid-level position requires a keen understanding of business operations and the ability to navigate legal risks while driving strategic decisions. You'll work closely with internal teams and external counsel to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, protecting the company's interests and facilitating growth and innovation.

This position is based at our corporate headquarters in West Bend, Wisconsin.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Legal Counsel: Offer legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on a broad range of corporate and business matters, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with laws and regulations. Draft and Negotiate Contracts: Prepare, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, including vendor, client, licensing, and service contracts, ensuring the company’s interests are protected. Corporate Governance: Assist in maintaining proper corporate governance practices, including drafting and updating policies and managing corporate records. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy, employment law, and industry-specific regulations. Assist with the development and implementation of compliance programs. Risk Management: Identify and assess legal risks associated with the company’s operations, including advising on risk mitigation strategies and solutions. Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve legal disputes, working with external counsel when necessary, and oversee litigation matters. Business Strategy Support: Collaborate with the management team to provide legal insights on key business strategies, new ventures, and operational decisions. Intellectual Property Management: Assist with the protection of intellectual property, including trademarks and copyrights, as well as review and advise on IP-related agreements. Training & Education: Provide internal training on legal topics and promote awareness of legal issues across the company.

Required Skills/Experience: 

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar in the state of Wisconsin. At least 3 years of experience in corporate law, with a preferred focus on marketing, advertising, or related industries. Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with digital marketing, social media, and e-commerce legal issues is a plus. Strategic thinker who has the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize. Must be able to maintain confidential information. Demonstrates the Core Values of Delta Defense, LLC.
