About the Role
Support the identification, pursuit and development of inorganic opportunities aligned to AIAHK’s strategy (incl. acquisitions, new ventures, and strategic partnerships)Develop new capabilities across functions to support inorganic opportunities
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop inorganic and strategic partnership priorities including strategic case and target characteristics
Develop strategic case for strategy partnership and M&A to accelerate AIAHK’s key strategies (e.g. Integrated Health Strategy, HNW, GBA)Define value drivers and develop criteria for target attractivenessConduct market scans and shortlistingManage capability development to support growth areas
Support new capability development critical to inorganic and strategic partnership prioritiesManage cross-functional team and drive alignment across ExcoPursue potential targets
Engage internal & external stakeholders (e.g. investment bankers, advisors, industry contacts, other corporations) to surface opportunitiesEngage potential targets and shape parameters of potential collaboration or transactionLead deal execution
Support deal executionDevelop strategic rationale and conduct commercial due diligence on potential targetsEnsure robust deal process and decision-makingSupport alignment of key stakeholders within AIAHK and in Group OfficePlan and support post-merger integration
Work with other stakeholders to design target state operating model for acquired businesses, new ventures, or partnershipsDevelop integration plans and roadmapsSupport integration activityJob Requirements:
Degree holder with 5+ years of relevant strategy planning / corporate development / project management experience. Experience in strategy consultancy / insurance industry and/or HKICPA / CFA holder will be an advantageHands on experience with M&A, strategic partnerships, and new venturesStrong business acumen and strategic thinking, being able to connect-the-dotsResult oriented, with proven track record in attaining business resultsBe adaptable, able to interact and build strong relationships with people from a diverse range of backgroundsAttentive to details with good analytical, coordination and organisational skillsProficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and report writing skillsA good story-teller, with strong presentation skillsYou are required to obtain relevant licence if your job involves in regulated activitiesBuild a career with us as we help our customers and the community live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives.
