What you will do to contribute to the company's success
We are looking for a Corporate Development Analyst I to join our team and play a critical role in driving the continued growth of the company. In this role you’ll perform acquisition due diligence, develop financial valuation models, evaluate capital projects and strategic initiatives, and work on other special value-add projects for the organization. This position provides a great opportunity to learn the telecommunications business, gain experience in evaluating investment opportunities, work on strategic, value-add organizational initiatives, and work with colleagues across all functional areas and levels within the company.
Responsibilities:
Analyze acquisition and strategic investment opportunities, including preparation of detailed financial valuation models and internal presentationsParticipate in the end-to-end M&A process including business assessment, due diligence, valuation, and post-closing integration tasks such as preparing financial forecasts and budgets of newly acquired businessesProvide analytical support for strategic initiatives such as new market opportunities, network expansions, and other capital investmentsAd hoc analyses and other special projects related to strategic initiatives or projects within Cable One, often alongside FP&A, Business Intelligence, Strategic Investments, and Investor Relations teamsQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience (including internships) in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, particularly in the cable or telecommunications industryExcellent analytical skills, strong command of finance and M&A concepts, and advanced proficiency in creating complex financial models in ExcelStrong attention to detail, ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities simultaneouslyExcellent oral/written communication and presentation skills through proficient use of PowerPointDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment across multiple functional areas to meet aggressive goalsCapacity to work flexible hours to include overtime, weekends, or holidays to meet time-sensitive deliverablesStrong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentialitySelf-motivated, high-energy, intellectually curious individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment
