Corporate Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Business Resource Network Lead

      

The Corporate Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (“DEI”) and Business Resource Network (BRN) Lead reports to the Director, Corporate DEI. This position operates within limited oversight and oversees initiatives to foster knowledge and adoption of diversity, equity, and inclusion topics and best practices, and ensures the organization employs strategies to attract, develop and retain members of underrepresented groups. This role collaborates in and supports the development of organizational talent acquisition, talent management, employee engagement, belonging and learning and development strategies. This position is responsible for implementing strategic goals established by DEI leadership. This position collaboratively develops and drives BRN strategies and ensures timely execution of objectives while continuously monitoring the progress towards reaching milestones.

         

          

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:   

This position will be responsible for and collaborate with our six BRNs.  

Partner with Director, Corporate DEI to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track progress towards divisional DEI and BRN goals.   

Collaborate with Director, Corporate DEI to identify key internal and external Corporate DEI activations, plan and execute as appropriate.

Assists in providing practical and actionable tools for increasing workplace DEI; partners with all departments of the organization and collaborates with HR, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, etc. to help achieve organizational objectives  

 

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:   

Required: 

Bachelor’s degree - Human resources, business administration, communications, marketing, event management, public relations preferred  

3+ years relatable experience working with DEI, HR or BRN initiatives  

Excellent written and verbal communications skills   

Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and implement tactical plans.  

Attention to detail and management of deadlines.   

Ability to manage multiple projects/events/relationships simultaneously.  

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Notes, Teams, Zoom, etc.  

Possesses strong integrity, honesty, and resilience 

Ability to interact well and build professional relationships with a collaborative approach to working with all levels and divisions  

Broad project management knowledge; Creates, develops and manages scope and project plan; evaluates and reports project/program progress in terms of quality and performance metrics appropriate to the program/project; manages and effectively delegates to project team members  

Ability to travel as needed to cover region, Thrivent, and industry functions  

 

Preferred:   

Advanced degree preferred  

Certification in diversity, equity, and inclusion preferred

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $92,538.00 - $125,199.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant experience, skills, and knowledge, business needs, market demand, and other factors Thrivent deems important.
