Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and evaluation of identified environmental, health and safety programs (EHS) including the complex analysis of data resulting from these programs.  Manages and oversees existing EHS management programs to reduce risk in the work environment.  Recommend and designs new EHS programs relative to risk management and hazard abatement. Develops action plans to control health risks and hazards to all employees in the workforce. Executes an internal EHS verification program designed to proactively improve safety culture and performance.   

The incumbent provides technical guidance and direction to other employees in support of producing high quality, timely and cost-effective solutions to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. This position requires partnering with groups, such as but not limited to those involved in training and performance assessment to identify learning and development gaps, identify solutions and to foster development of all employees relative to health and safety issues.  The incumbent works under general supervision.

Benefits: Benefits Available and vary per position and location. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Line Clearance Vegetation Management technical field experience 5 years or greater. A minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in industrial related work experience in industrial hygiene environmental management, or safety. The ability to adapt to changing conditions, priorities, and requirements, as well as the need to rapidly learn new skills. The ability to interpret EHS regulations. The ability to rapidly organize and analyze complex and diverse topics and situations, as well as large amounts of data. The ability to develop team relationships with customers. Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to create, communicate and deliver reports and/or presentations. Experience in systems management including database configuration, process mapping or EHS management systems. Clean driving record. Up to 75% travel required (must live or relocate to a company area and near major airport).

Other Accountabilities:

Serves as a technical “expert” and provides technical support to internal and external stakeholders’ regarding compliance with EHS regulations. Supports programs to enhance the public image of corporate EHS performance through education activities and other actions that encourage responsible behavior. Organizes and conducts EHS studies and/or audits. Performs trend analysis to improve EHS performance by gathering data, developing reports, identifying gaps, evaluating risk and implementing process improvements and/or corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Coaches and mentor all levels of personnel on critical skills, behaviors and techniques that build and sustain a zero injury/illness culture. Provides governance and quality oversight of EHS programs.  Recommend changes in procedures, processes, design, or equipment. Keeps abreast of federal, state, and local EHS regulations, reviews technical literature.  Conducts comprehensive audits of company sites for compliance with EHS programs. Participates in industrial conferences and benchmarks top performing organizations for program improvements. Supports the development and maintenance of EHS management information systems (MIS). Secondary language skills are preferred. Pre-Screen Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check. License & Certifications: Valid driver's license required. Travel Requirements: Up to 75% travel required (must live or relocate to a company area and near major airport).
