ALTA IT Services is staffing a contract opportunity for a Corporate Event Planner to support a leading health insurance customer. The planner is responsible for the coordination and execution of high level and large group events/meetings held at the Conference Centers, large meeting areas and conference rooms where they apply. Expectations such as planning timeline, invitations, attendees, presentations, catering, room layout, security, and parking. Supports sponsorships, events, hospitality and key transformation initiatives. Works cross-functionally with divisions internally and external partners to plan and execute each event and sponsorship successfully; also designing presentations for leadership media relations and social team to generate awareness for key events, product launches and campaigns.
Pay rate $48/HR

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Implements memorable events by developing strategic plans and process, working cross functionally and suggesting innovative ideas. Leads event and hospitality management process and serves as the point person with event vendors and internal stakeholders to coordinate details of events/hospitality including billing, logistics, promotion, vendor and agency management and other duties. Manages corporate, executive and sponsor events by developing program design; organizing event suppliers; coordinating production team; staffing. Designs implements, and manages event/hospitality/operation/sponsorship plans and strategy focused on growing CareFirst brand awareness and favorability. Maintains accurate and updated records of all contacts, budgets and assets. Assess each corporate sponsorship or event effectiveness and report regularly on key metrics. On event day meet and maintain contact with the client, manage the schedule of the day, caters, registration, guests, security, parking, AV, IT, housekeeping and what is needed for the success of the event in accordance with the Conference Services Guidelines.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Education Details: Marketing, Hospitality, Project Management, Sports Marketing, Business or related field
Experience: 5 years’ experience in corporate event planning
In Lieu of Education
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
