Corporate Finance Analyst
Overview This is a hybrid role based out of Malvern, PA (3 days in office) CubeSmart is seeking to hire a Corporate Finance Analyst based in our corporate office in Malvern, PA. The Corporate Finance Analyst will report to the Vice President of Finance and provide support with capital markets activities, investor relations, internal financial analysis, and forecasting. The Corporate Finance Analyst will be deeply engaged in analyses and projects spanning many functions of the organization. The successful candidate will be a highly engaged strategic and analytic thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills. CubeSmart is a publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on the development, acquisition, disposition, and management of self-storage facilities. CubeSmart is headquartered in Malvern, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, and is one of the largest self-storage owners and operators in the United States, with more than 1500 locations nationwide. We are excited to have you join our team and grow with us! Responsibilities Prepare quarterly materials for Senior Management to assist with preparation for earnings calls and Board Meetings. Assemble due diligence materials for capital markets transactions. Assist in managing our joint venture relationships, including capital raising and financing. Manage the administration of the company’s loans to its venture partners. Assist with the design, writing, production, and coordination of investor communications, including earnings documents, conference and roadshow materials, investor relations website, and other investor materials. Support the Company’s ESG efforts by leading reporting efforts and monitoring external rating agency reporting. Monitor & analyze industry peers’ financial statements, operational statistics, analyst estimates, and valuation. Research, analyze, and report on stock ownership, investor base, and trading activity of CubeSmart and its peers. Work with cross-functional teams to tackle a variety of ad-hoc analytical requests and modeling assignments. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Finance or other related Business discipline 3+ years of relevant finance/analytics experience Strong writing, communication, organization and project management skills. Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint; experience using advanced functions such as formulas, shortcut keys, formatting/charting features, and VBA/macros a plus Experience in developing presentations Independent thinker with the ability to learn new topics quickly through self-initiated research; ability to think creatively and challenge the status quo Understanding of finance, accounting, and economics principals Understanding valuation techniques used by security analysts a plus Focus on accuracy and precision is vital Ability to analyze large amounts of data and to distill it into thoughtful conclusions and actionable recommendations; knowledge of statistical principles is a plus Ability to work effectively in both individual and group settings We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, Minority/Female/Veteran/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity. #LI-MT1
