About the roleWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Systems Analyst to join our corporate team.
Help drive the company forward, implementing and maintaining our departmental data system, overseeing system enhancements, and ensuring that all processes are completed effectively and efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, setup, and test programs to ensure accurate financial results and compliance with GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles.
Document test results and troubleshooting program issues.
Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure user needs are properly documented and addressed.
Assist in development and testing of interfaces between all applicable systems/databases.
Identify and make recommendations for improving processes and procedures.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of system documentation, user manuals and training documents.
Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, related field or equivalent education/experience
2 years of professional experience in Accounting and/or Finance especially in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems
Strong understanding of GAAP and/or Statutory Accounting Principles
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office
Advanced proficiency in Excel is preferred
Experience with PeopleSoft Financials a MAJOR plus
