What you'll do:

We are seeking an Analyst to support the Corporate Governance team. This first-line governance and operational risk position will provide the successful candidate an opportunity to work on strategic governance initiatives in a dynamic environment. The Governance Analyst will coordinate audits, participate in process improvement and governance initiatives, support control remediation, and coordinate the documentation of internal controls. The successful candidate will gain exposure to all areas of the residential mortgage business including Capital Markets, Servicing, Retail and Correspondent Originations and Operations, and associated technical support functions. Coordinate and support internal audits and regulatory examinationsGain familiarity with core AmeriHome processes and their associated risks and controlsWork with managers to document control remediationCoordinate Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and provide test evidenceUpdate critical documents and coordinate their reviewMaintain project planning detail for designated governance initiativesAssist with other analytical, documentation, monitoring, or reporting assignmentsSupport other Governance initiatives as required

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s Degree0-2 years of relevant experienceDetail oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to coordinate and interact professionally with all levels of managementEffective written and verbal communication skillsIntellectually curious with a desire to learn about complex business processesAbility to triage critical tasks and adhere to firm deadlinesStrong Excel skills, including ability to summarize data via formulas, lookups, and pivot tablesAdvanced knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint & Word)Resourceful in problem solvingProficiency with SQLExperience with Visio or LucidChartKnowledge of the residential mortgage industry a plusRelevant experience at a bank or large non-bank financial institution preferredExperience in audit, risk management, or SOX compliance a plus

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $84,045.00 - $103,818.30 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
