GENERAL FUNCTION
The Global Product Manager for Oakley Sun (Lifestyle) will collaborate with cross-functional partners to define and deliver new products that are driven by the brand’s strategic objectives, regional inputs from across the globe, and consumer-informed problem solving. They will effectively manage products in the portfolio through their entire life cycle from inception to discontinuation.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and deliver consumer-centric briefs to design and engineering teams for both new products and seasonal iterations of existing products Manage the product creation calendar for all critical deadlines including new brief handoffs, design & development reviews, regional collection presentations, salesperson samples, etc. Identify new product opportunities through competitive analysis, marketplace research and consumer insights Attend and participate in all relevant design, development and marketing meetings Review prototypes, track changes, and provide business- and consumer-informed feedback to design and development Manage costs, margins, pricing, and forecasting of the product line Track performance and manage product lifecycle to drive business results and productivity Oversee the product line data in Oakley’s PLM data system Present new products and seasonal collections to key Global and Regional stakeholders Support Marketing in the development of sell-in materials and seasonal product catalogs by providing product inspiration, key selling features and technical product information Track the execution of product samples through the sampling processBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years in Product Management or Merchandising, preferably within consumer goods, eyewear, or lifestyle brands. BA in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, Product Management, Design, or commensurate experience. Understanding of Oakley’s brand values, target audience, and unique design aesthetics. Ability to present to large groups and engage internal stakeholders effectively. Strong ability to design, implement, and oversee detail-oriented processes that drive efficiency and quality. Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional partnerships in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Basic technical knowledge relevant to product creation and industrialization, supporting informed decisions on design and production.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS/MBA or other advanced degree. Familiarity with digital tools for product lifecycle management and analytics (e.g., Excel, Tableau, PLM). Background in working with performance or sports-oriented products that fuse functionality and disruptive aesthetic. Familiarity with global market trends and cultural differences in consumer behavior, especially in regions where Oakley has a strong presence.Pay Range: 99,957.62 - 151,152.93
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
